TEXT: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

KEY VERSE: And he said unto him, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me. Judges 6: 17

The Lord has been telling Gideon, you are a mighty man of valour, you are a warrior, you are a captain of the host, you will do great exploit for Me, you will win great battle for God. Gideon was saying to himself, who am I, what is my father’s house? But he kept receiving encouragement, “Go and fight against the Midianites, I will deliver them into your hands.” Gideon was not sure it was even God speaking to him. To erase all doubts he asked for multiple signs. He got the first sign, got the second, got the third up to the fourth before he became fully convinced and ready to go into full battle. He took his time to know who was speaking to him and to understand his commission. The fourth sign removed all traces of fear in him. He was not in a hurry to be called a minister of God. He was unwilling to embark on any project without being sure God would be there for him. That is the right attitude to answering the call of God. That is the right attitude of going into ministry. You must be sure of who is speaking to you and your specific mandate.

These days, people go into ministry and claim they were called of God when God has not spoken to them. They heard a voice or saw a “Jesus” in their dream quite all right but they were not diligent enough to certify the identity of the person speaking to them. They rushed into ministry and embark on projects on behalf of Satan thinking they are serving God. They seem oblivious of the biblical injunction in 1 John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” God will be patient with you to satisfy your inquisitiveness because it is part of righteousness. When Jesus appeared to Saul (later known as Paul) on the road to Damascus, he asked to know who was speaking to him and Jesus replied, “I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” Always be diligent to confirm revelation and your commission, lest Satan should take advantage of you, for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Thought for the day:   If anyone appears to you as Jesus, ask for the nail mark and if he is the Son of God.
Song for the day:   For this God is our God, forever and ever, He will be our guide, from now, even.....
Bible reading for the day:
Proverbs 13-14; 1 Corinthians 16. #Horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
