TOPIC: YOU ARE A TEACHER TO MANY
SEPTEMBER Wednesday 12th

TEXT: Acts 20:33-34
KEY VERSE: Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: 1 Thessalonians 2: 10

The believer is a role model. Younger believers are watching your life and will pattern their lives after you. Non-believers are also watching you to teach them righteousness. Therefore, you are a teacher and mentor to many even though you may not perceive this. The writer of Hebrews says we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. You are a leader in your own right. When I was in government as an accountant, I was going somewhere with my Director-General and it was the season for the harvest of new groundnuts. When I saw a hawker of cooked groundnut, I called him and bought some. I took out of it to give to my Director-General. It was in the filling station where we stopped to buy fuel.  His reply was that no big man eats groundnut on the road. He learnt this discipline from his boss and I also learnt it from him. If the head of the household comes home early and shuts his door by 8pm, no member of the household will have the gut to go out after 8pm or stay out late. Everybody will fall in line.

Practical life of self-discipline and holy living is the greatest tool in bringing up the child and positively influencing those around you. Children observe what their parents and seniors are doing and want to do the same. When horses are in a race, the ones behind simply follow the leading of the one ahead. You must be disciplined in every area of life.  Discipline in the study of the word, discipline in listening to messages, discipline in evangelism, discipline in giving, discipline in devotional life, discipline in everything that is of spiritual progress. In fact, discipline in your sleep. If you live with somebody that sleeps a lot and you want that person to reduce his sleep, just wake up early in the morning and start praying, start singing praise and worship songs. He would be forced to wake up and join because guilt will not allow him to continue sleeping as a Christian.  As this continues every day, he will soon overcome excessive sleep. I pray the Lord would do a thing in you. Today the Lord would give you a new baptism, baptism of an exemplary life to go and change your family, to go and change the church, to go and change the society and to bring changes to Christianity through your exemplary life in Jesus name.

Thought for the day:  Live holy to win the world for Christ
Song for the day: Jesus must be honoured in my life everyday

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
