TOPIC: DILIGENT PURSUIT OF HEAVEN
SEPTEMBER Friday 7th

TEXT: 2 Corinthians 1:1-10
KEY VERSE: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2: 9

John 3:11-16, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Here Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about heaven. Since the conversation, the focus of Nicodemus shifted to heaven. He was to later stand out of the crowd of hypocritical Pharisees and participate in the burial ceremony of Jesus (John 7:50-52, 19:39).

The saints of old laboured for and pursued this heaven till death. Hebrews 11:13-15, “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Your real home is heaven, not the earth. It is a permanent place of abode. There is no departing or separating anymore. It is an everlasting place of abode. It is better than the best country in this world. A woman was hospitalized, died and entered heaven. She started admiring the beauty of heaven. Meanwhile, her daughter that stood by her at the hospital started praying, "Jesus, please bring back my mother." Jesus told her in heaven, "Your daughter is praying for your return to earth." The woman told Jesus, "Please don't mind her." Eventually, she came back to life and stared at the daughter asking, "Why did you pray that kind of prayer? Why didn’t you leave me alone?”

Thought for the day:  Nothing in this world is comparable to the glory of heaven.
Song for the day:     This world is not my home, I am just passing through
Bible reading for the day:
Proverbs 11-12; 1 Corinthians 15:33-58.  #Horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
