TOPIC: SET THE STANDARD, OTHERS WILL FOLLOW
SEPTEMBER Wednesday 19th

TEXT:  Daniel 1:8-12
KEY VERSE: And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2: 2

Going to heaven is an individualistic race and serious business. It takes determination and unwavering commitment to get there. If you can take your righteousness to this level it will become beneficial to others as well. Daniel took a personal decision not to eat the defiled meal of the king but it had a positive influence on his friends. Some of the brothers and sisters around you in Holiness Revival Movement have not fully understood the calling you have received. Show them by your life, then they will understand and want to emulate you. Sister, some of your women have not understood holy dressing. Show them the holy way to dress. Let them see modesty, meekness, neatness, clean beauty in your dressing. Let them know that they have not yet reached the standard. Show them how to sit down as a lady with legs closed so as not to expose themselves.

But if you too are not dressing well, how will the new members learn from you? You are a Women Leader, a Chapter or Unit Leader or Coordinator’s wife but there is no holiness in your dressing. You are a negative influence. That would be the blind leading the blind. God is looking for a man, a woman that will serve as role model. Let God find that man, that woman in you. John Westley shed light more clearly on the doctrine of sanctification as a second definite experience of grace. The Lord made him to face challenge and reproach, even from his wife, in order to make him an example of the doctrine he was teaching. You believe in holiness and are teaching it, then let people see how you live it. John Wesley’s wife was ungodly. God allowed the devil to use her to test John Wesley. When the man of God was preaching on the pulpit the wife would say “Don’t believe him. He doesn’t practice what he is preaching. It is just sweet mouth.” John Wesley would continue preaching as if nobody spoke. God wanted the people to watch and see. At home, the wife would grab the hair of John Westley who had a long hair and begin to pull it as if to pluck it out. He would just be following so that the hair would not pull out. That is setting a standard in Christian behavior!

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
