Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All
Monday 24th March
Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22
Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20
God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell.
The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke before all.” You will need to bring some people out and rebuke them before everybody. As in critical sickness, the doctor may prescribe drugs to take. In the same case, the doctors may recommend surgery as the best option to treat the sickness. Some sins can only be removed by public rebuke. You may be busy saying that it will embarrass him. If this is not done, he will be lost forever. because you prefer to protect his personality rather than the truth to his soul, you have lost him. Since you cannot carry out the surgery on him, he will die. It may be a fibroid, and you are saying, “Give her drugs.” Drugs cannot handle this one; it is by surgery. You may say, “But she does not want surgery. She said it will pain her too much that is why I pity her.” “Are you a doctor?”
Rebuke stubborn sinners before all, that others also may learn. You are the reason these people are getting tougher. You have left them to themselves. They do evil things, and nobody bothers. There is no orderliness, no fear of God. The ministers are responsible. God has given us the right to call the names of ministers who corrupt the gospel, if you know them. It is better that the people know their names and run away from them than to die in ignorance under them and go to hell. It is not a sin to call their names. Will God protect sinners? Will God glorify sinners? With the zeal of the Lord, and fervent anger against iniquity, reveal it.
