TOPIC: GOING TO HEAVEN IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS
SEPTEMBER Thursday 20th

TEXT: Luke 13:23-24
KEY VERSE: So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. Matthew 20: 16

The error most people make is that they have trivialized Christianity and hardly see it as a serious business. This is particular so among Christians who believe that the grace of God has accomplished all that needs to be done and all you need to do is just to confess the Name of Jesus and go back to your normal way of life. This is the grand-deception of Satan to make people become complacent and live carelessly to the jeopardy of their salvation. Satan knows what it takes to miss heaven but many Christians don’t know. They know the truth about God but not all the truth that can save them. Satan capitalizes on their ignorance and half-knowledge. They are in the church but out of the way of eternal life. They are zealous for the work of God but their names are not in the Book of Life. Romans 10:1-2, “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.” Zeal without knowledge is like movement without motion – spiritual poverty and stagnation.

The challenge in Christianity is not to be saved, but to remain saved. To be saved, you don’t need to ascend into heaven to bring Jesus down or descend into the deep to raise Him up. Bible says salvation is very near you for, “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” Romans 10:9. It is as simple as that, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The real challenge is preserving your salvation. Many have, through sin and the abuse of grace, shipwrecked their salvation. Even in Holiness Revival Movement, many have been snatched by the Devil. Revelation bearers that have enjoyed exceptional grace of beholding the glory of God in heaven and witnessing the horror of hell, whose testimonies have changed many lives and taken some to heaven, have themselves lost their crown to Satan. Never take your salvation for granted for it is not over until it is all over. The road of eternal life is a hard and tortuous one, continue to strive for it and endure to the end.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
