TOPIC: PAUL, A CLASSICAL EXAMPLE IN EXEMPLARY LIFE
 SEPTEMBER Friday 21st

TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:10-14
KEY VERSE: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4: 9

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 11:1, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” That was a bold statement from a Christian leader. Paul could make such a statement because, since his conversion, he had lived an exemplary life devoid of offence toward God and man. Paul lived a highly focused life that glorified God and edified men. Paul’s life practically dragged people along with him on the way to heaven. He took the lead and others followed. He was a later-day apostle but he testified in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10, “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

We find Paul’s life testimony In Philippians 4:9, “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Paul was saying, those things I have worked among you, have lived among you, have taught you in the gospel, have demonstrated in my life before you, do them. Those things you have seen, those things you have heard, those things you have learned in my life, follow them. If you do so, you will see God’s presence in your life and ministry. You will see God performing and blessing you. 2 Timothy 3:14, “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.” God was telling Timothy, you may not understand all things now, just follow because you know the lifestyle of the person I have sent to lead you. You know his sincerity, you know the truth in him, you know the testimony of his life; nothing in his life is contrary to the truth.  In 2 Timothy 3:10-11, Paul was reminding Timothy, you have known my doctrine, my suffering, my passion and my commitment for Christ. Don’t be ashamed of me to do those things. Submit yourself to these things. That is the power of an exemplary life!

Thought for the day: Paul left an impeccable legacy. What legacy are you leaving behind?

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
