TOPIC: GOD'S PROMISES FOR FAITHFUL WIDOWS
SEPTEMBER Tuesday 25th

TEXT: Isaiah 54:6-17
KEY VERSE: Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. Isaiah 62: 4

The first thing that strikes a widow is fear. How do I mange without my husband? The second thing is shame, then loneliness. But God is saying it is nothing to worry about for He is able to fill the vacuum in the widow’s life. Here are the promises of God to the widow in Isaiah 54.

• Fear not, for you will not be put to shame (v.4)
• Your Maker is now your husband (v.5). The way God, your new husband will treat you, you will not remember your widowhood again. He is your Redeemer who will save you from the vultures in this world and take away your reproach. Do not run after men to do you kindness. God Himself will raise helpers for you.
• Many have rejected and forsaken you, but God has come to take you over as His wife (v.6). Is this not better for you?
• God is promising you great mercy and kindness (vv. 7-8). All He wants is for you to come to Him in truth, holiness and righteousness.
• He promises kindness that will flow from now into eternity (v.9).
• God is saying he will not turn away from you (v.10).
• Continue to trust in your redeemer and you will soon be comforted (vv. 11-12).
• God is promising beauty, to decorate your life.
• God will protect your children. The Lord shall warn Satan not to tamper with them and send His angels to guide them in righteousness. You will rejoice over all your children.
• God is promising that corrupt men shall be kept far away from you (v.14).
• Whoever wants to harm you, God is saying He will handle by Himself (v.15).
• God will bring judgment upon your adversaries and keep you from harm’s way (vv. 16-17).

The Lord has accepted you and He will take over your life as a widow. Praise the Lord!

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
