TOPIC: REMOVE THE OBSTACLE TO YOUR HEAVENLY RACE (6) – MONEY
SEPTEMBER Sunday 30th

TEXT: 1 Timothy 6:7-10

KEY VERSE: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6: 24

You cannot serve God and money. Bible says in Matthew 22:37 Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. But there are people that love money with all their heart, soul and strength. How can such people serve God when their mind, soul and everything is on money? A man was in church and preaching was going on but he was thinking about business and how to make a gain of N10,000. At that moment the preacher said, “Praise the Lord” and the man responded, “Ten thousand Naira.” Some people are in HOREMOW to make money. Everywhere they go, they seek for opportunity to make money. Judas forsook his Saviour for thirty pieces of silver. What is 30 pieces of silver compared to eternity in heaven? When your mind is shifted from Jesus to money, are you not saying money is more precious than your soul?

Acts 8:18-21  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.  When your heart is on money, it cannot be right with God. Where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be. Simon offered money for anointing so that he could make more money. To him, it is a business opportunity. Preachers are buying powers from demonic sources and are performing miracles for money. When you sow seed into such ministries you are sowing for Satan. God does not sell miracle. Any miracle on sale is from Satan and you will pay for it with your soul. But hear what righteous Peter told Simeon, “May your money perish with you.” In the poverty of life, do not go about false prophecy, telling people lies, selling holy water, anointing oil etc. Don’t go into darkness. Don’t follow crooked ways.

Thought for the day: If you love money, you cannot love God.
Song for the day: When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word
Bible reading for the day:
Isaiah 19-21; Ephesians 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
