TOPIC: REMOVE THE OBSTACLE TO YOUR HEAVENLY RACE (5)–YOUR FAMILY
SEPTEMBER Monday 3rd

TEXT:  Matthew 10:34-38
KEY VERSE: He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10: 37
If you desire to satisfy the wish of your family members all the time, they will make you miss heaven. Your husband is complaining you don’t look beautiful again because you are not putting on makeups. Hatred is coming from everywhere, telling you to drop this holy, holy Christianity. A girl complained that her father threatened not to pay her school fees unless she resumed wearing attachment and using makeups. She asked, “What should I do?” I told her, “Don’t go back to those things. Let him do his worst. It is better to be sent away from your father’s house than to be sent away from heaven!”

It is hard for our women who have terrible husband that would not respect the Word of God. Don’t worry. The Spirit in you is fiercer. Do not play meekness to that man. He paid the price for your body, not your soul. Your soul belongs to God. If marriage must come to an end so be it. Do not care for your marriage at the expense of Jesus. Be like the three Hebrew boys who defied king Nebuchadnezzar. Do not turn your husband into an idol to be worshipped. You cannot obey man to disobey God. Choose who to stick to rather than wavering between God and man. A man’s foe shall be they of his own household. If Satan is using your spouse to buffet you or an in-law to make your life miserable, may the Lord give you the wisdom to manage the situation well, without offending God.

Samuel’s children were stubborn children given to iniquity (1 Samuel 8:1-3) but it did not affect him (1 Samuel 12:1-4). That is heavenly race! Let not your children become obstacles to your heavenly race. The soul of the child is different from the soul of the father. Don’t allow the sin of any family member to affect you. Remain spotless because the race is individualistic. You will not go to hell for your wife, or husband or child or father or mother or uncle. If Samuel made it in spite of the contradiction of children, you too can make it if you keep to the rules. Exalt God above your father, or mother, or husband or wife. John Wesley would have missed heaven on account of the wife. Love God above your body. If they say they will kill you, let them kill you. A Muslim lady gave her life to Jesus and the elder brother said he would beat out Jesus from her. She remained adamant even after several beatings. If someone gets Jesus out of you, it is because you agree to it.

Thought for the day:  You must choose between your family and Jesus.
Song for the day:   I surrender all
Bible reading for the day:
Proverbs 3-4; 1 Corinthians 13

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
