TOPIC: WIVES, BE OBEDIENT TO YOUR HUSBAND
AUGUST Friday 24th

TEXT: Ephesians 5:20-24

KEY VERSE: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Colossians 3: 18

In every institution there is a leader. We have the president, governor, manager and so on. In marriage there, is also a leader. Your husband is unique among all leaders because you have an almost exclusive possession of him. Your goal as a wife should be to please your husband and to have a peaceful home where there is love, peace and harmony. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Husbands are of different calling and vocation such as pastors, politicians, artisans, civil servants etc. Husbands are also of differ characters. Some are worldly, some are simple, some get angry easily. Submit to your husband as a duty in the spirit of love and inasmuch as it does not conflict with God’s command.

1 John 4:7-11, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”

If you claim to love God, it should manifest in your love to those around you and this includes your husband, no matter his disposition toward you. Some husbands are very simple and unassuming such that their wives want to take advantage of them. This should not be so. Some husbands are irritable and soon get angry. You can pray for him and you need to be more patient and tolerant in dealing with him. Some are abiding while some are hardly at home. Check yourself if your husband is not abiding, you may be contributory to his not wanting to stay at home with you. Do all in your power and according to the grace God has given you to manage your husband well in order to have a peaceful home and not to create offence that could affect your heavenly calling.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
