TOPIC: HEALING FROM ALL SICKNESSES
AUGUST SATURDAY 4th

TEXT: Psalm 103:2-5
KEY VERSE: And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. Exodus 15: 26

All that God made was good and perfect. The origin of sickness and disease is disobedience and sin. Before the fall, there was no sickness and disease. It was sin that introduced infirmity and brought pains and death.  Sometimes, God permits his children to be afflicted to test their righteousness or stir them into prayer. Psalm 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. When affliction comes it is good to examine yourself to be sure you are not the cause. God has made provision for divine healing because His promise is to make sicknesses and diseases far from us.  I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. If you are afflicted by disease, pray to God or meet the elders to pray for you and the prayer offered in faith shall bring healing (James 5:13-14). Even as you pray, do not forsake medical treatment because by wisdom it is also the provision of God for your healing.

However, in seeking healing for your ailment, you must avoid things that will hinder the process. This includes:
1. Lack of Faith – James 5:15a; Rom 14:23; Gal 4:8-9). James 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick. The man without faith cannot expect to receive from God. James 1:6  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
2. Unconfessed Sins. Sin is a hinderance to healing. Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
3. Lack of Importunity. Pray earnestly for your healing. God is not lethargic to the cries of his children. If you can persist and persevere in prayers, answer will come. Be like the persistent widow and keep on pleading your case with God until an answer comes. Don’t lose hope even if it is a terminal disease.
4. Unforgiveness. Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Thought for the day:   Take your case to God in prayers.
Song for the day:   You are the Lord that healeth us
Bible reading for the day:

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
