TOPIC: THE JOY IN TEACHING THE TRUTH
AUGUST Friday 31st

TEXT: 3 John 1- 4
KEY VERSE: Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. Proverbs 23: 23

It is a great joy to know the truth and a greater joy to impact it in others and see it manifest in holy and righteous living.  That is why I emphasis the truth and labour to make it so clear, leaving nothing to ambiguity. I have no hesitation in going to where people fear to tread in order to shine the light of God there and not leave the people in darkness. The truth becomes manifest and God is happy about it. We appreciate God for this grace. In another dimension, it is painful and sorrowful to see multitudes in churches where the Spirit of God is not present. God is not there, yet they are excited, they dance, they shout. It is very disturbing. What can be done in the circumstance? How can you have access to these people and make them know that they have lost God? How can you tell them?

Do I criticize the preachers? No, I don’t. Do you need to get angry with the heretic preacher? No, you don’t have to get angry with them, otherwise you yourself will be sinning. There is wisdom in which God, by divine wisdom, allows them to be there. There is still some good that is coming from them in some ways. At least, they are preserving the people and giving them oral instruction, waiting for the time the original gospel would come to them. So, God allows them because they are performing some functions. But for you that is reading this devotional, I wish that you appreciate the truth that God has brought to you. You are hearing it, you see it, you have the grace to practice it, you are among the people God has chosen for eternal life. Take it seriously and do all you can to get this truth. Buy the truth and sell it not.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
