TOPIC: YOU MUST BE DIFFERENT
SEPTEMBER Saturday 1st

TEXT: Daniel 1:3-7

KEY VERSE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.  Daniel 1: 8

Daniel distinguished himself in exemplary living.  He attended a 3-year course at the school of the gifted that was set up by king Nebuchadnezzar. He was there with three other Hebrew boys. The school was to prepare intelligent minds for high positions in government. As meal, they were offered food from the king’s table. But this food was first sacrificed to idols before they are served and righteous Daniel knew this. Daniel stood out of the crowd of students and rejected the food. The power of his exemplary life influenced the other three Hebrew boys, who joined him to reject the food. “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”

It was a personal decision that Daniel took, ignoring the consequences, which could be death. Daniel did not take the decision with the other Hebrew boys. It was a unilateral decision. The other three could go ahead to eat, but not Daniel. They all grew up in the same environment and had the same moral training, but Daniel was exceptional and different. That is what God is looking for in you. Daniel was a man of purpose who had heaven in focus. If you want to go to heaven, you must be different. You must not follow the crowd or the pattern of this world. We are all in Holiness Revival Movement, but not everybody you see there has heaven in focus. Majority are serious about the heaven business, but not all. Do not be distracted by them. Do not allow your spouse or friends or relatives or tradition to drag you to hell. Focus on where you are going and you will get there in Jesus name.

Thought for the day: If everybody does it, you are not everybody. You are special and different.
Song for the day: Holiness is the beauty of believers, Lord I want to be Holy, Lord I want……
Bible reading for the day:
Psalms 148-150; 1 Corinthians 11:16-34. #Horemow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
