TOPIC: KEEP HOPE ALIVE BY FAITH
AUGUST Wednesday 8th

TEXT: Job 19:25-27
KEY VERSE: And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11: 22

Let your faith take you into eternity. When God speaks into your life, it is not for today alone. When God makes a promise, He keeps it for eternity. Psalm 119:89, “Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.” If you believe the word of God for today alone, how does it work its fullness in your life? As the Lord has uttered His word and settled it in eternity, you also must believe and hold on to it till eternity. God had promised the Israelites through Abraham He would take them to the Promised Land. But He had also told them they would be in the land of slavery for four centuries. As prime minister of Egypt, the perks of office and comfort of Egypt was enough for Joseph to forget God's promise. But as a man of faith, he told his siblings, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.” He kept in mind the promise of God. He knew God would do as He had promised. He knew that sometime in future, the horde of Israelites in Egypt would be set free as God had promised. He wanted to be part of the fulfilment of God’s promise. Though he be dead, his remains would rest in God’s Promised Land. How wonderful to tie one’s destiny to God’s eternal promise by faith.

Consider Moses who was brought up in Pharaoh's palace but refused to be part of a heathen royalty because he was looking into the future. Hebrews 11:24-27, “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.” God sent Elijah to the widow of Zarephat to be fed but when he got there, he met a widow who could not feed her family how much more an extra mouth. Elijah being a man of faith, knew that God who gave His word could not lie. By faith, he decreed surplus for the household and there was plenty to eat and drink throughout the season of famine. Trust God and never waver in faith.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
