TOPIC: GOD'S COMFORT AND HEALING FOR THOSE IN PAIN
AUGUST Saturday 18th

TEXT: 2 Corinthians 1:1-5
KEY VERSE: For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51: 3

God is the source of all comfort and He has appeared on your case. When Jesus came to the bereaved family of Martha and Mary He came with comfort. The comfort of Jesus is different from the comfort of man.  John 11:33-35, “When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, He groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto Him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept.” Do you know that Jesus cares and feels for you in your pain? Do you know that He weeps over your case? Jesus loves you so much. Jesus came for the comfort of this family and some of the sympathizers were wondering if He could not have prevented Lazarus from dying. But as He did for Lazarus, the intervention that Jesus will soon do on your case will give glory to God, and people will come from far and near to listen to your testimony. Lazarus' sister told Jesus He delayed too long and it was no longer possible to raise him back to life. John 11:39-41, “Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.”

There is a stone that is preventing your healing. The sin of pride, stubbornness, immorality, gossip, hence the Lord allowed the enemy to take you away. What is that stone blocking your way and preventing your resurrection and restoration? Take away the stone by repenting of those things. John 11:41, 44, “Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” May you be comforted. May you receive your deliverance and liberty, in Jesus name.

Thought for the day:  Jesus shares your pain. It will soon be over.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
