TOPIC: DILIGENT HOLINESS OF HEAVEN-BOUND SINGLE SISTER
 AUGUST Tuesday 21st

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 7:32-33
KEY VERSE: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6: 33

Single sisters include sisters who are yet to marry but who desire to marry, women who had children out of wedlock and widows who desire to remarry. It could also be a woman with disability who inwardly desires husband. In time past single women of twenty-five or even thirty years are not under pressure to marry. But things are different now. These days, a lady of 18 years has graduated and is ready for marriage. At what age should a lady marry? It is not about being a university graduate, but maturity. When do you pluck a mango fruit? It is not about size but maturity. Even if not ripe, you can pluck when mature knowing that it will ripe within a few days. The standard age for marriage for single ladies is dependent on maturity which is not necessarily determined by age. Some ladies mature faster than others. Even at age of eighteen they may be mature.

Let the single sister not get consumed in worries about having a husband. Rather, let her be busy with God. Colossians 3:2, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Let your heart remain focused on heaven. Husband is on earth, not in heaven. Don't preoccupy your mind on having a husband. Psalm 73:25 “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.” As a single lady you have more opportunity to pray and go for conferences without hindrances or disturbances by children or husband. Most of the ladies that ministered to Jesus were single women. As a single woman you have the grace to serve God the way you want and the extent you want and with all the resources and energies at your disposal without anybody questioning you. Mary poured expensive perfume on Jesus without having a husband to question her. Some have backslidden already; some are already thinking of going back to Egypt. They are disturbed that since they forsake sinful pleasures and came to Christ, it has been two or three years and nobody has offered their hand in marriage. They are thinking of forsaking Jesus for a husband. They want to forsake God for man. Sister, be peaceful and wait on the Lord, you will soon give testimony.

Thought for the day:  Choose heaven before marriage
Song for the day:    All I have is you in heaven and earth all I have is you (2x) … Jesus all I have is you.
Bible reading for the day:
Psalms 119:1-48; 1 Corinthians 3

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
