TOPIC: SUPPORTING THE GREAT COMMISSION MATERIALLY  

TEXT: MATTHEW 10:1-8
1. And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 
3. Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphæus, and Lebbæus, whose surname was Thaddæus; 
4. Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 
8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 

KEY VERSE: MARK 16:15. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

What humanity needs can be obtained through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel contains the full package of eternal life. God has given us all things for life and godliness in Christ. What is required is to carry out the gospel to all men in all places, using all means that all might be saved. This requires money and material resources. 

The followings are required for the success of the Great Commission: Lands, Buildings, Machines, Vehicles, Equipment Electronic, etc. Besides the above, money is required for the following needs; Maintenance of gospel preachers and workers’ salaries and wages, payment of rent, bills, etc., Crusades, Retreats, and other gospel programs; 

Capital Projects for gospel advantage; Procurement of good Bibles, Christian Literatures and materials for spiritual development and ministerial excellence; Production of tracks, magazines, books, drama, music, etc. to propagate the gospel; 

Training of preachers and gospel workers for effectiveness, financial and material support for the poor and needy, travelling expenses for the gospel business by road, by air or by sea, Hotel Accommodation, and General Running Costs.

To support the gospel of Christ and distribute abundant life to men on Earth, this must be done in the spirit by which Christ gave Himself for us. When the Word is properly preached and taught through the right means the Lord will work among men to save their souls, sanctify their heart, heal their body, deliver their lives, build their faith, mature them, anoint them with the Holy Spirit, turn them into gospel workers, give them wisdom, knowledge and understanding, bless and prosper them, and fill them with life. 

And the men, women and children you saved from hell through your Christ-like giving shall bless God for you in time and in eternity. May the Lord spare your soul and grant you the privilege of working together with Him in this great task of distributing eternal life to mankind through the gospel.
