TOPIC: DESIRED QUALITIES OF WORKERS IN HOLINESS REVIVAL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE (1)
TEXT: PSALM 15:1-5
1. LORD, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill?
2. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; But he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5. He that putteth not out his money to usury, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
KEY VERSE: PSALM 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in Your tabernacle? Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?
A minister or a worker in the vineyard of God is not defined by the skills he or she possesses, not by what he or she performs in the church, but by who he or she is. God looks at the heart. He considers the state of your being. True worship is not by fleshly performance but by the ministration via the soul that is genuine, pure, and cleansed unto the Lord.
A minister of God must, therefore, be born again. His soul must be regenerated. There must be a clear proof of repentance observable in his or her life. There must be a clear-out of the way of life before and after the new birth experience. There must be a definite date and possible record of time when the new birth experience took place, just like having a record of the date of birth or birthday date.
This is the reason why it is a prerequisite for anyone who wants to join any work force in the movement to practically submit a write-up in details of his or her new birth experience. Anyone who cannot provide his or her evidence cannot be allowed to serve.
Secondly, a minister in the Holiness Movement must be sanctified. He or she must have a second, definite experience of grace by the Holy Spirit in the heart. A manifestation that removes the works of the flesh now crucified. This is attained through faith and fervent prayers. The Holy Spirit has practically taken over their spirit, soul, and body. These are people who have lost control of their lives to the full guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is now the Lord of their lives. Their tongues cannot speak lies anymore. Their eyes cannot be given to lust. Pride has lost its value in their lives. Anger and murmuring have no place in them anymore. These people can now lift up holy hands in the tabernacle of God and offer acceptable services. Brethren, our services in the church of Christ must not be a waste. We must keep examining ourselves to ensure we are fit as worthy worshippers of the Holy God. Amen.
Thought for the day: The angels in heaven who are key worshippers are holy.
Song for the day: Create in me a clean heart, oh Lord...".
