TOPIC: THE BIRTH, CRUCIFIXION AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST IS GREAT WISDOM OF GOD.

TEXT: PROVERBS 8:12, ROMANS 2:5-12

PROVERBS 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge of witty inventions.

ROMANS 2:5-12
5. But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 
6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 
7. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 
9. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 
10. But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11. For there is no respect of persons with God.
12. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 

KEY VERSE:1 CORINTHIANS 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”.

Wisdom in the human sense refers to the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment about something. God is Wisdom Himself and His works are perfect. The difference between the wisdom of God and human wisdom is liken to someone who called a man and his son and asked who was the older between them? So, that really describes the comparison between the wisdom of God and the wisdom of the sons of men. 

Again, comparing the light of the sun and the light of the moon. The sun is a bundle of light shining out in full strength to great distances, lightening the world. While the moon, like one of the planets, is reflecting back the light of the sun. It is not light in itself. People have been there and saw the rocks, the nature of the moon, but none has been to the sun. They will be burnt up. Even on earth, we are burning, how much more of getting closer? So, that is the wisdom of God.  

God’s wisdom is displayed in Jesus Christ who came to the world as a man, crucified on the cross and buried but resurrected in glory, giving hope to man. To save man and deliver man from eternal doom, God’s wisdom came to play for Jesus Christ to be preached. 

The natural man does not understand this arrangement. He questioned God. To him the preaching of the cross is foolishness, but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. They consider this arrangement senseless. Of course, because they despise the wisdom of God, they certainly perish.
 
Don’t argue the wisdom of God in His arrangement to save man. Those who refuse to follow God by faith claiming human reasoning must consent to it, that it must be logical to the depraved human mind cannot be saved and will certainly miss heaven. Be wise!

Thought for the day: Don’t argue the wisdom of God prepared to save man.
