TOPIC: EXEMPLARY DRESSING OF HOLY MINISTERS

TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 4:11-13
11. These things command and teach.
12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

KEY VERSE: PHILIPPIANS 4:9: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

That which you have been seeing! This is why this training is very important. You are a pastor, a coordinator or a chapter leader. There are things that people look at you for; apparently, outwardly, and they copy. And most of this has to do with how you look; your dressing and appearance.

Do you look holy? Do you look glorious? Do you look presentable? Do you look as somebody they can be proud of? My pastor looks wonderful! In fact, sometimes people would like to snap you and post it out. “This is my pastor”; in pride and in praise. How do you look? Do you copy? Some of you know that you do not dress well. You look too casual when you dress. You look shabby and dirty. You are not presentable.

How will you carry this lifestyle to your members as a leader? Some may not consider how you look inward; whether a pastor is holy or not. What do you give out to them? That's why this scripture is very important. Are you copying or emulating? Are you watching?

Even in speech, you see some people speaking like W. F. Kumuyi. How many of us are learning from our International Director in the manner he presents himself? The way he walks and dresses. I mean, from up to down. How do you look as a minister, as a holy minister?

Why are you expected to look like Jesus? To look like a minister that is worth his calling in dressing? There are things that words may not say, but pictures and appearance in dressing will convey all. How do you look that people will say, ‘this is indeed a minister’?

Some will say a bad-looking minister is a reproach. From your dressing, you will be addressed. When you dress, will you be addressed as a holy minister or will you be addressed as a poor, reproachable minister?

Thought for the day: Be an example of holy and glorious dressing

Song for the day: Is your life a channel of blessing?

Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 25-28

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. January Saturday 18th TOPIC: HOW TO ATTAIN BIBLE HOLINESS TEXT: Romans 6:20-23 KEY VERSE: Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Besides the essential knowledge of the holy life of a Christian, it is good to understand the manner and process of becoming holy before God. Holiness of life is a life that has overcome sin through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. It is a life that does not commit sin. 1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Getting this experience requires four things: 1. Know that apart from holiness, there is no alternative lifestyle for heaven. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holin...
