TOPIC: DON’T LISTEN TO THOSE WHO SAY HOLINESS IS NOT POSSIBLE 

TEXT: EPHESIANS 1:1-4 
1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 
2. Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4. According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: 

KEY VERSE: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:23 And The Very God Of Peace Sanctify You wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The scripture shows that Christ died to sanctify the church, the body of believers to make them holy so that they may serve him and live with him forever. If Christ cannot make you holy, then you cannot serve him. You cannot live with him forever. 

As faithful as He is that heals your sickness, He is also faithful to make your soul completely free from sin. He is also faithful to cleanse your spirit from all filthiness. He is also faithful to preserve you until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, this is what God is saying, but atlas, the church failed God. 

The church failed God. The people of God failed God. They are not thinking about righteousness. They are not thinking about holiness. In fact, what brings them to the church is gain. They think that gain is godliness and so spend their time thinking of gain especially as they listen to apostate pastors. To listen to them is for your damnation.  

In Jeremiah 2:8, the Bibles say ‘The priest said not, where is the LORD? And they that handle the law knew me not. The pastors also transgressed against me. And the prophets prophesied by Baal. And walked after things that do not profit’. 

Is it not what is happening in the world? Do they bother about God? Are some of them using the Bible to preach? Do they even read the Bible? Is it not stories they tell? Do they remember God? Some of them consult demons for their miracles? 

Reason why they don’t know the way of Holiness and so can’t lead others in truth.  Don’t listen to such preachers otherwise; hell will be waiting for you. You are the one to bring yourself to God and ask him to do it for you and he would do it. Thus said the Lord. I will yet for this do it for the house of Israel.

Thought for the day: Faithful is He that calleth you, so will He make you holy.
