TOPIC: SUPPORTERS OF JESUS’ MINISTRY

TEXT: 1 JOHN 1:1-2
1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

KEY VERSE: JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

When Jesus was physically on earth in His mission of giving life to the men of the world, there were men and women that supported His course with their money and material resources. Although He came from Heaven to do the Will of God among men and had the full backing of God, the Father did not pour down money and material support literally from Heaven for Him to use.

God used men and women on earth to partake in the ministry of distributing abundant life to humanity. Considering the support of Mary Magdalene and other women in Luke 8:1-3; these women were sinners who suffered much from the hand of Satan.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, they were saved from their sins and were delivered from the power of darkness. Hence, they released their money and material resources to support the Ministry of Jesus.

The lad with the five loaves and two fishes in John 6:5, 8-14. This lad had what was required and for the love of Christ willingly released them. What a great privilege it is to singularly sponsor a Christ-honoring program or project as this lad did.

Mary and Martha in John 12:1-8, joyfully accommodated and fed Jesus and His disciples whenever he was in Bethany. The above passage showed how Mary ‘wasted’ great sum of money on Jesus as lamented by Judas Iscariot. On who could she had spent her best possession on if not her Savior Christ?

Joseph of Aremathaea and Nicodemus in Matthew 27:57-60. These believers identified with the course of Christ publicly by making the best use of their human greatness and wealth In Luke 10:1-7,

Christ disciples were also supported by men when He sent them out to without giving them anything. Christ expects those who labor for human salvation to receive the support of good-hearted recipients. Learn to support the true ministers of the gospel because they need to eat, drink and be clothed

Thought for the day: ...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10(b)

Song for the day: Na so so wonder Jesus dey do…..

Bible reading for the day: Isaiah 60-63

THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS

REMAIN BLESSED AS YOU TAKE YOUR TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD. THURSDAY 30 DECEMBER THE LORD IS REMOVING UNCIRCUMCISED LEADERS TEXT: NUMBERS 14: 26-31  Key verse: Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many  be called, but few chosen. Completion of the angelic message: The Lord continued. “Because of this mandate given to you, I am removing around you the uncircumcised leaders. I am going to fill their place with righteous and holy leaders from various nations and races.” Truly I had pondered if any minister has suffered like this. People I loved, cherished and lived peacefully with suddenly began to speak evil against me to my shock. Well, it happens in politics, but is limited to their countries, whereas mine is international! Yes, some ministers may have suffered these things, but that was before the advent of the Internet, so their sufferings were limited. Maybe through letters or newspapers for a limited time, but my own is in the world of the I...
