TOPIC: THE GARMENT OF BELIEVERS MUST BE HOLY

TEXT: ZECHARIAH 3:1-5
1. And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2. And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3. Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

KEY VERSE: EXODUS 28:4: And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

If you look at this scripture, God was talking to Aaron and his sons who were to be priests. We are all ministers and leaders; therefore, our dressing should be to the glory of God. It should be holy garments for the men. What you put on as a minister concerning your office should befit your calling as a holiness minister.

God, in order to distinguish and make a difference between Aaron and his sons, who were to be priests in dressing, the pattern has been given. The manner of their dressing has been given. When you see the scriptures, God says, I appeared to…or you hear the scriptures saying, God appeared to…

That appearance is what we are talking about. We are considering your physical look as a minister and Christian; that which you represent in the outward; that which you dress to show the people who you are.

That is what we are considering today: The dressing and adornment of Christian men. When you look at holiness churches that have come up to be, you see their members looking like their founders. We are supposed to look like Jesus.

We are supposed to know how Jesus dressed by copying from Him. We have a father in the Lord here. How are we copying his dressing? When you look at Deeper Life Bible Church, you will see many of the members being identified even by their dressing; dressing like their founder, W. F. Kumuyi. Although some take it too far. That is what we are looking at here.

Thought for the day: Holiness in your garment affects the holiness of your life as a believer.

Song for the day: Let others see Jesus in you…

Bible reading for the day: Ecclesiastes 1-4

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
