TOPIC: BENEFITS Of ATTENDING HOLINESS CONFERENCES - PART 1

TEXT: PSALM 84:1-4
1. How amiable are Thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
2. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4. Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house: They will be still praising Thee. Selah.

KEY VERSE: PSALM 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. 

There are benefits of being physically present in holiness conferences despite the distress you go through when you attend. God had to put you through some discomfort for the purpose of getting you purified and fit for heaven. In your house, you might not have gotten opportunity to be committed, consecrated, and submissive as it is in the conference. 

See how you are suffering because of heat. In your house, you may be lying down, sleeping under the AC, getting ready for hell because you will be too casual for sin to be removed from your life. You may not get sufficient sleep because you have to get up and ready by 6am. Some of you normally wake up at 10 o'clock in the morning. 

God has to replace your will with His will and cause you to follow His will to deliver you from Satan and break the forces of darkness in your life. At home, you would have not been able to prevail. Maybe you would have eaten by now but you have not because you are doing a spiritual exercise to make God do something special in your life. 

Make every effort to attend international conferences. Do not mind how much money you will spend because the blessing is higher. Do not say, ‘No, I can sit at home and get the same message’. You may get the same message but not the same discipline. You will not arrive at the full submission of God's will.

Those at home choose when to be there. They sleep to their convenience; nobody wakes them up but here you have ushers to wake you up. If you develop laziness in coming to conference, you will hurt yourself.

For those who have struggled but had no opportunity, God understands. Let it not be because of laziness. God rewards every man according as his works. He cannot reward a laboring Christian the same way as the lazy ones. No! Always strive to attend. You will see grace working in your life.
