TOPIC: LIVE AN EXEMPLARY LIFE THAT OTHERS MAY EMULATE YOU AND MAKE HEAVEN
TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 2:10-14
KEY VERSE: Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

Brother, how is your hairstyle? Sister, how is your dressing? Are you dressing like them or differently as a child of God ought to? Are you living an exemplary life for others to see and emulate in righteousness and holiness? If as a lady you have to join your legs together so that people don’t see your inside, then you are not an example to follow. You have not understood the holiness of God. How then do people learn from you? It means you are not different from them. If the blind leads the blind both shall fall into the dish. It means there is no woman of exemplary character around. God would be lamenting that I am looking for a man or woman that will stand as an example, but I find none. Let God find that man or that woman in you.

John Wesley taught clearly the doctrine of sanctification as a second definite experience of grace. Probably because he did, the Lord made him suffer great challenge and great reproach from his wife, so as to make him an example of the doctrine he was preaching. Did you say you believe in holiness and you are teaching it? Then, let people watch how you handle it in your life so that you can be an example of that which you are teaching. God allowed the devil to carry his wife very far such that when John Wesley was on the pulpit preaching, the wife would be telling the congregation, “Don’t believe him! He doesn’t do what he is preaching at home; it is just sweet mouth.” The man would continue with his preaching as if nobody was talking. His response would be like, “Everybody give me attention here; let’s go ahead.” How did he keep his heart focused on the pulpit in the face of such provocation? God wanted the people to watch and see the stuff he was made of – whether genuine or fake. At home, the wife would grab the hair of John Wesley (a white man with long hair), and begin to pull it to pluck it out of his head. He would just allow himself to be dragged along so that the hair does not pull out. He kept his cool and refused to strike the wife, not even once. He remained peaceful and kept watching and waiting for the wisdom of God in the matter. Don’t overreact, but wait for Him. After ye have suffered for a while, ye become an example to others. That is the power of an exemplary life.

Thought for the day: If your life is not leading people to Christ, it is leading them to hell.
Song for the day: I want to be like Daniel … to follow Jesus Christ
Bible reading for the day: Genesis 9-11; Matthew 4

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
PRACTICE OF PRAYER AND FASTING.  WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 TEXT: ISAIAH 58:1-8                                                                                                        Key verse: “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”  Luke 2:37. The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...
