TOPIC: DON’T ALLOW YOUR DRESSING TURN THE MINDS OF PEOPLE AWAY FROM GOD
TEXT: 1 Peter 3:3-5
KEY VERSE: Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

When you dress provocatively in a way that makes women in the society to idolize you, are you not putting the women in trouble? They can no longer rest at home and they start disturbing their husbands to buy similar attire for them. Some may be saying to their husbands, “Look at the wrapper that woman is wearing, it costs her N100,000. If you love me, I want you to buy one for me too.” With this, have you not become one of the troublers of the church? You are causing women to turn away their minds from God to you. They now use you as role model in worldliness and self-glorification. You have taught them how to feel important and draw attention to themselves. That is not a godly example the Lord wants you to set. That is not what God wants the people to emulate. What God wants from you is to be an example to the believers in good conduct, in holy conversation, in faith, in charity, and in turning sinners to Christ, not yourself. But now, you have chosen to compete with God for attention. Can you be guiltless?

What kind of dressing befits women professing godliness? What are the types of dressing and adornment you expect to see on a godly woman? How can people see true Christianity in your dressing? How can your dressing promote righteousness and holiness? How can your dressing reveal the meekness and decency of Christ in your life? I am talking about the kind of dressing that will reveal the glory of God and draw sinners to Jesus. Woman, don’t think you can win the heart of a man by making yourself look fanciful. The real beauty of a woman is inward character, not outward appearance. Don’t follow the pattern of the world in fanciful hairdos, make-ups, adorning yourself with jewelries, using all these artificial, fake and false body parts. Don’t think that because other women’s hairs are fanciful, you too will do yours like that. No! Not by the outward adorning of fanciful hairdo or wearing of gold can you win the heart of a man. Why would you employ the properties harlots use to attract customers to get the attention of your husband or a suitor?  Your best adornment is the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Thought for the day: The real beauty of a woman is not in flashy dressing but in godly character.
Song for the day: Make me perfect, make me perfect……

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
