TOPIC: HOLINESS MESSAGE REQUIRES DILIGENT PERSUATION OF SINNERS AND BACKSLIDERS
TEXT: Isaiah 30:9-11
KEY VERSE: John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
My sister, why allow the Spirit of delay to come upon you? Brother, why the delay? Pastor, what are you waiting for? Are you not seeing the mischief that is going on in the households of God? The four lepers said among themselves, “Let’s go and tell the king’s household.” But this required diligent persuasion because when they went they got to the king’s household, the king did not believe them. The king said you people don't know the strategy of battle. It is a strategy that the king of Syria is using. He decided to leave the camp to go and lay ambush, so that when we come and discover an empty Syrian camp and feel confident that we would plunder them, we would leave our gate open and they would in turn come in and consume us all. Was it actually a Syrian strategy? No, that was a misconception. That was why it required diligent persuasion.
This Syrian experience typifies what is going on in the church. The people will not easily know, neither will they easily understand the language of the gospel of truth. That is why it will require persuasion; diligent persuasion. Someone has to tell them the doctrine of holiness and the doctrine of righteousness. They cannot easily accept it. What about restitution? They may not easily accept it either. Even the born again experience, they may not easily accept it. Sanctification of heart? They have enough theology to argue against that also. Indeed, there are plenty of theological arguments to counter every doctrine of holiness! They have them in different schools of thought. So, it is not an easy task.

Already, there are denominational traditions handed over from their forefathers. How do you begin to convince them to accept things they don’t even understand? You begin to tell them, remove all these things, change your garments, remove your second wife; you would have begun to preach doctrines that are strange to them because they never heard of it nor knew about it. Therefore, it will require persuasion and it has to be diligent persuasion. This is what is required because of the heart of men. Men love darkness more than light; they love lies and hate truth. They have been fed with lies for so long, now they have become so used to it that truth now appears as lies and sounds strange to them. It requires diligent persuasion to convince them. Move on and don’t be discouraged, you will save some.

Thought for the day: Persuading men on truth is not an easy task.
Song for the day: Hark the voice of Jesus calling, who would go and work today…
Bible reading for the day:Exodus 27-28; Matthew 21:23-46.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
