TOPIC: CONSIDER IT A GREAT PRIVILEGE TO SUFFER FOR JESUS
TEXT: Luke 9:23-25
KEY VERSE: Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Jesus suffered in the hands of wicked men and endured it. Why then are you running away from persecution? Is your body more precious than the body of Jesus that you don’t want anybody to touch it? They struck the body of Jesus. Why are you refusing to be struck? They spat upon the face of Jesus. What an insult? Why are you refusing to be slapped or even to be spit on? They picked up stones to throw at Jesus. What have they thrown at you? Jesus has already set an example for us that we should follow in His stead, so why are you now showing bigmanism? You are afraid your skin will be damaged or your bone broken? How do you see the body of Jesus, who made your body and made one for Himself? How do you see the personality of Jesus – a body without sickness, without blemish? How do you think His body looked like and why do you think your body is more precious than His? Would you compare your body with the physical body of Jesus on earth? But when He was being stricken and beaten for your sake, to save you from your sin and give you eternal life, did He mind? Did He complain? Did He withdraw? How did He handle the matter? Learn from the life of Jesus and be wise. Below is a prophetic utterance on His suffering and reaction to it for your edification.

Isaiah 53:3-5, 7-8 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. 4 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. 7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was He stricken.

Thought for the day: Persecution is part of the Christian life.
Song for the day: Lord I want to be like Jesus in my life…
Bible reading for the day: Exodus 9-10; Matthew 18:1-20

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
