TOPIC: YOU CANNOT RENDER REWARDABLE SERVICE WHEN YOU ARE IGNORANT OF TRUTH
TEXT: John 3:1-10
KEY VERSE: Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews and one of the bishops in the Jewish synagogues. When he came to Jesus, Jesus said “except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” Surprised, Nicodemus asked “How? As big as I am now, I should enter into my mother’s womb and be born a second time?” Jesus replied, “Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?” How would they know? How would they know without the revelation of God’s word, the truth of God’s word, and genuine understanding of God’s word? You cannot serve God in ignorance. But this is exactly what is happening to many churches and many Christians today. That is why the Lord is urging the people to anoint their eyes with eyesalves, so that they may see clearly. Not that the Lord approves the use of eyesalves, because that is worldliness; but He was speaking figuratively. He is simply saying people should anoint their eyes that they may see clearly the truth of His word. They are going about looking for gold to buy but Jesus is telling them, “buy gold from Me because in Me are true riches.”

Truth has been lost in the Church and millions of worshippers are worshipping God in ignorance, yet they have false expectation of going to heaven. How will they enter heaven when Jesus the Truth, is already locked out of their lives? The visit of Nicodemus (a high-ranking member of the synagogue ruling council) to Jesus opened his eyes to the truth he never knew before. Before his visit, he had taught he knew much, but after his encounter with Jesus his knowledge and understanding of the truth of salvation changed completely. It is in the same way God has brought you to HOREMOW to meet Jesus and understand the truth of salvation so that you don’t continue to grope in darkness and worship him in error and ignorance, to the hurt of your soul. In HOREMOW, you are receiving the whole truth that should transform your life and prepare you for heaven. Don’t compromise on this truth. By it many have lived, died and gone to heaven. If you too live by it, you will finish your course on earth and go to heaven. Hallelujah!

Thought for the day: Knowing the truth is the sure way to heaven.
Song for the day: Jesus the Way, the Truth and the Life, whosoever cometh to Him shall never die.
Bible reading for the day:
Exodus 4-6; Matthew 16

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
