TOPIC: THE MORAL ATTRIBUTES OF GOD
Text: Romans 2: 4-11
Key verse: Isaiah 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory.
These are characteristics and qualities which belong to God especially in relation to His creatures. These attributes are also those which God intends man to possess and thus they are communicable attributes.
i.    Perfect Holiness. This speaks of absolute purity. God cannot sin or tolerate sin. He is perfectly holy in all He thinks, says, and does. He is a triple holy God! Leviticus 19:2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God Am holy.
ii.    Perfect Righteousness. Righteousness is holiness-in-action against sin. It is a holy God acting in a just and upright manner towards His creatures. This is seen in both His reward and punishment. Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
iii.    Perfect Love. Love is the heart of God’s nature. God not only has love, God is love. He is the absolute personification of love. 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Components of God’s love include: Goodness; Grace; Mercy; Compassion and Kindness.
iv.    Perfect Faithfulness. It means God is absolutely trustworthy, loyal, reliable and true to His Word Psalm 119:86 All Thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help Thou me.
Thought for the day: The more you cultivate the moral attributes of God, the closer you get to heaven.
Song for the day: He loves me I cannot say why
Bible reading for the day: Genesis 27-28; Matthew 9:18-38

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
