TOPIC: TAKE THE LEAD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND OTHERS WILL FOLLOW
TEXT: Philippians 4:8-9
KEY VERSE: Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
Brother, Sister, take the lead in righteousness in your environment. Take the lead in righteousness in your family. Take the lead in righteousness in your Church, in your office, in your school, everywhere! If you are among your colleagues, among Christians, among ministers or maybe you are in a program somewhere and some are not observing their quiet time, they are not doing morning devotion, they are not observing prayer time, they would wake up and just go into other things, don’t join them in doing that. If there is one pastor among them that would wake up and go on his knees to pray and thereafter take his bible to read, other pastors will feel guilty and join him. That way, you would have influenced them to be close to God. You need to sustain this revival the Lord has given to us by your personal life. Are you a member of a committee? Shine your light in their midst. Show seriousness and commitment when they call for committee meeting. By the way you behave and operate there you will bring improvement to bear in the committee work and God will be happy for it. Christ has set His life as an example for you to follow, so demonstrate for your colleagues and others under you to behold and emulate.
Take a stand, people will follow you. Very soon you will find many churches following Holiness Movement. Have they not even begun? I was telling some people that in a short while women that wear jewelry would be ashamed in the society. They would want to look natural. I understand some women have even started. They are beginning to value naturalness to artificiality. They are not doing it for holiness but as a trending fashion. But many others are doing it for holiness. For whatever reason they are doing this, one thing certain is that when others see it they will follow. Take a lead in anything, others will follow. If there is a corrupt woman in the bank, in the office, in the school, or a woman that is corrupt in her dressing; once she takes the lead, others will follow. But I am imploring you to take the lead in what is good, edifying, profitable, holy and righteous. Take the lead in what will take people to heaven, not what will cause them to fall and damn their souls to eternal lake of fire.
Thought for the day: Be a good example in what is true, righteous and holy.
