For taking your time to study remain blessed.  TOPIC: THE ABUSE OF ANOINTING OIL IN THE CHURCH July Thursday 30th TEXT: Exodus 30:22-31 KEY VERSE: Exodus 30:32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.  In today’s reading text, we can see that anointing oil was made specifically to anoint Aaron, his children and instruments of the tabernacle. It didn’t go beyond that. It ended with the use of the tabernacle. In fact, it was not the anointing oil used for normal rubbing of the body. It was not the anointing oil used as a healing balm. In today’s key verse, we see the Lord instruct that nobody makes any other like it. God gave this specific commandment because He had foreseen replication and abuse of the anointing oil. An elderly man living in Benue State had an accident which affected his urinary tract system over 4 years ago. For this reason, he could no longer pass urine in the normal way. After some time, he could bear the pain no more, so he went to see his doctor at the Medical Center in Benue State. He was told that the problem could be solved through surgery but it would cost him N450,000. Korah went deep into politics and succeeded in polluting the whole congregation to rebel against Moses. The ambition of one man led multitudes astray. Why would you allow yourself to be polluted? Why would you allow the tongue of one man to remove your name from the book of life? Why should you lose your place? Would you allow a church politician to remove you from where God has placed you? A politician in the church with the tongue of the devil came to you and carried you away from the presence of God. You just followed sheepishly and lost eternal life.
