God did not call Timothy away from Paul. But you will hear some youths in Timothy’s shoes say, “Eh, God gave me greater revelation. In fact, in my ministry with Paul, I was actually the key man that God called. Didn’t you hear that there were prophecies on me? You didn’t hear that I have preached the gospel and laid hands upon men?” That is the language of stubborn youths, rebellious youths that have left the cause of Jesus. Many people misunderstand this term or the description given to Jesus as the Son of God. Some reject Him because of this title. The Islamic religion in particular contend against this title saying God cannot have a Son. TOPIC: EMULATE MARY WHO RAISED UP GODLY PREACHERS June Tuesday 9th Text: Matthew 13: 53-56 Key verse: James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. The Holy Scriptures made us to understand that Mary gave birth to other children. According to today’s reading text, Jesus had four brothers and at least two sisters from Mary. This is to say, Mary had at least six children after Jesus. These children were born in sin like any other children. The coming of Jesus from Mary’s womb did not purify her womb from sin. All of these six children were sinners. They did not believe in Jesus Christ when He was in the world as a man. These children had a mother that should have made them serve God in holiness. TOPIC: THE NATURE OF RESURRECTION BODIES June Saturday 6th Text: 1 Corinthians 15: 35 – 44 Key verse: 1 Corinthians 15: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There are those who wonder how the resurrection will take place or how the bodies of the resurrected saints will be or which type of body they will put on. Now, if you are to sow a corn, it is the grain that you sow in the ground and not the new product. It is when the grain dies that a new product comes out with a new body different from the grain you sowed and it will be looking more beautiful and colourful as well as wonderful. It is God that chooses to give every seed the body that He wishes it to have in His own wisdom. It is the same thing with the resurrection bodies.
