March Friday 1st TOPIC: CLEANSE YOURSELF FROM DEFILEMENT OF JEWELRY AND UNGODLY ADORNMENTS TEXT: ROMANS 12:1-2 KEY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 7:1: Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. To the world it is fashion, but in the sight of God it is detestable and an abomination. Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The God we serve is very jealous for His holiness. Anything that defiles is an abomination to Him. Satan introduced many abominable things into the world of fashion which people cherish for worldly beauty to the damnation of their souls. These include the following: (a) Perming of the hair. (b) Use of artificial hair: attachment and weave-on. (c) Dyeing and co

TOPIC: PRAY FOR WISDOM TEXT: John 2:1-11 Key verse: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”. James 1:5 Ask God for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Besides, is there anything you assume you lack? That thing that is wanting in your life, ask God for it. That thing that is wanting in the Church, ask God for it. That thing that is wanting in your family, ask God for it. That thing that is wanting in your academics, in your business, ask God for it. Yes, that thing wanting in the society, ask God for it. The Bible tells us the mother of Jesus went for a wedding and there was no wine – it was lacking. Mary, the mother of Jesus, spoke to Him saying, “They have no wine.” That is what God wants you to do. Tell Him the situation. Tell Him what is lacking and watch God’s next move. The mother of Jesus knew that Jesus must take a

February Wednesday 27th TOPIC: THE PROMISE OF HOLY GHOST BAPTISM IS FOR YOU  TEXT: Joel 2:28-29 KEY VERSE: Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: All true children of God have the Spirit of Christ in them, which is the Holy Spirit. But for the purpose of Christian service, God promises every believer baptism with the Holy Spirit. This experience gives the believer higher power for Christian service. Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Acts 1: 4, 5, 8: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me. 5 For John truly baptized with wa

February Monday 25th TOPIC: HOLD FAST TO BIBLE TRUTHS TEXT: Matthew 7:21-23 KEY VERSE: Ezekiel 33:12 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. 1 Timothy 4:15-16: 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. Was Timothy not yet born again at this time? Yes, he was, but he needed to carefully practice and teach true biblical doctrines in order to save himself and those that hear him. Are you aware that the salvation you have received now can be lost? Be not deceived by the false teaching that when you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation in Christ, wh

February Sunday 24th TOPIC: THE SEED IS NAMED IN JACOB NOT ESAU                                                                TEXT: Malachi 1:2-3 Key verse:  Rom 9:11 For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth. Abraham gave birth to Isaac, the child of promise, and Isaac became the father of Jacob and Esau. When Jacob and Esau were to be born, God also spoke; “Jacob I have chosen, Esau I have rejected.” The seed of the woman, the Saviour of the world that I shall be sending shall not come through Esau, he shall come through Jacob. Therefore, Esau shall not produce any person that will claim to be the prophet for the world. The tribe of Esau to all their generation cannot produce any one, even as the tribe of Ishmael to all their generation cannot produce a Saviour of the world. By the choice of God, Christ

February Saturday 23rd TOPIC: NO TITHE DEFAULTER WILL SEE THE FACE OF GOD  TEXT: Malachi 3:8-9 KEY VERSE: Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. There are those who live under divine curse for not paying tithes to God. They claim that tithing applied only in the Old Testament and has been abolished in the New Testament church. Jesus is like Melchisedec to whom Abraham paid tithe in Genesis 14:18-20. He is both King and Priest to us and lives forever. As our Priest, Jesus collects tithes from us today who are children of Abraham by faith. As children of Abraham after the flesh, being yet in Abraham, paid tithes to Milchisedec, we who are children of Abraham after the Spirit pay tithes to Jesus our High Priest. Hence, tithe p

February Friday 22nd TOPIC: SCRIPTURAL INSTRUCTIONS AGAINST DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE  TEXT: Mark 10:11-12 KEY VERSE: Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. True Christian marriage binds a man to his wife and a woman to her husband for life. There can be no remarriage to another person as long as the marriage partner is alive, however sick or sinful. Church, sickness, barrenness, tradition, and parents have no power over God’s word. Romans 7:2, 3: 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. February Thursday 21st TOPIC: DAMNABLE CLOTHING AND ADORNMENT TEXT: Proverbs 7:10-12, 25-27 KEY VERSE: Hosea 2: 13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat Me, saith the Lord. pave Many Christian congregations are ignorant and they argue over truths that can pave their way to heaven. One of such is in clothing and adornment. Many in the church today believe that they are at liberty to dress as they like. They claim that God only looks at the heart and is not concerned with our appearance. Ladies dress in provocative ways that seduce men to lust and sin. Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Women adorn themselves with make-ups, jewelries, ornaments, attachments, wigs and different kinds of artif

February Wednesday 20th TOPIC: THE RACE OF HEAVEN REQUIRES DILIGENCE TEXT: Psalm 119:1-4 KEY VERSE: Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt diligently hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth. As anointed as Paul was, when he was reproved for his error of speaking against the high priest, he humbly apologized to correct the wrong he had done, otherwise his labour in God’s vineyard would have been in vain (Acts 23:1-5). Apostle Paul exercised all diligence to live a blameless and holy life before God and in the sight of men.  Acts 24:16 “And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.” It was not only Paul, all the apostles lived diligently in consciousness of their heavenly race. Paul testified to this in 1

February Tuesday 19th TOPIC: BLESS HIS HOLY NAME FOR HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS TEXT: PSALM 96:7-9 Key Verse: “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His Holy name” Psalm 103:1. The Name of the Lord is His person. It is the same thing with the Person of the Lord. To praise the Name of the Lord means to praise the Lord. Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you”. Psalm 83: 18 “That men may know that Thou, whose Name alone is JEHOVAH, the most high over all the earth”. Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.” The Name of the Lord is our peace, comfort and trust. The name of the Lord is our banner and strong tower. The name of the Lord is great and wonderful. The Name of the Lord is like burning fire and mighty thunder against our enemy

The power of prayer is beyond comprehension. Prayer and faith work together. Prayer matched with faith can practically move mountains. Jesus says in Matthew 17:20, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Prayer is like the emergency line. No rescue official ignores emergency call. God is there for you like an emergency officer, waiting for you to put your call through. God says in Jeremiah 29:11-12, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” In this text God is saying, “I alrea

February Sunday 17th TOPIC: TRUSTING IN GOD’S PROMISES TEXT:  Isaiah 46:9, 10 Key verse: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. We have a God that backs up, sponsors and justifies our faith.  He stands behind the Christian faith. Therefore, when you come to God, believe that He truly has respect for your acts of faith. You must know that God stands by His word to perform it if you can stand with Him by faith. Without this assurance and confident trust in God, you can never please Him, because outside this you have not recognized and honoured Him. Recognize the God of faith that does the impossible things in this life.  Recognize the God of all impossibilities, the God that fully stands by His word to perform it. If you have faith, you will realize your hope.  In fact, faith assures you that you h

February Friday 15th TOPIC: HOLY GHOST BAPTISM IN CHRISTIAN MINISTRY TEXT: ACTS 10:44-47 KEY VERSE: Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Holy Ghost baptism signifies the power of God in a believer. The Holy Ghost as the third Person of the Godhead indwells the believer for spiritual guidance and empowerment enabling him to live and serve in the perfect will of God. Baptism in the Holy Ghost is one the key goals of our Lord’s mission on earth. He had specifically instructed His disciples not to begin their ministry until they had been baptized in the Holy Ghost and endued with power from on high. This followed the pattern of what Jesus Christ Himself experienced, for He did not enter His ministry until He was anointed with Holy Ghost and power. Holy Ghost baptism i

February Thursday 14th TOPIC: TESTIMONIES: GOD IS DOING NEW THINGS IN OUR MIDST TEXT: Isaiah 43:16-19 KEY VERSE: Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. This a testimony from one of the National Coordinators of HOREMOW. After my introduction as the National Coordinator, I declared national fasting and prayers challenging the brethren to lift up holy hands to God in prayers with genuine repentant hearts. With these in focus we gathered together for prayers both in prayer meetings and night vigils, crying out to God for mercy, forgiveness, cleansing and total restoration of HOREMOW in our nation. In the cause of these prayers, one of our sisters had a revelation where the whole nation was in great tumult and total darkness; and people were lamenting and complaining bitterly because of the terrible pain in the land. She started asking God why the

February Wednesday 13th TOPIC: GOD’S WORKS OF MERCY TEXT: GENESIS 20:1-8 KEY VERSE: Genesis 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Our God is merciful. He is not quick to judge or condemn. He is not interested in the fall or destruction of people. He is a loving God, who exercises much patience with the sinner giving him period of grace for repentance, and sometimes obstructing his descent into sin without necessarily interfering with his free choice. The story of king Abimelech is instructive. God saw the sincerity of Abimelech and decided to save him by demonstrating His mercies through some strange happenings, such as shutting up the womb of every woman in the king’s household. They were all plagued with barrenness. He even restrained the king from touching Sarah (Genesis 20:

Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.” James 5:7 Patience is a compulsory virtue that the just must possess in order for his faith to produce result. All of the heroes of faith mentioned in scripture patiently waited on God for full manifestation of their faith. I want to tell you that you need to strongly trust God in your life. You need to maintain steadfast faith in God in whatever situation. The blessings of faith are sure for the just at various moments of his actions of faith. The blessings come in the time of faith. If you can believe God today, you have done an investment that will yield profit at God’s appointed time. Faith is a seed. When you sow seeds, they don’t produce at t

February Monday 11th TOPIC: DO NOT SEPARATE YOURSELF FROM YOUR HUSBAND’S MINISTRY TEXT: 1 John 3:16-18 Key verse: Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; Surely both Abraham and Sarah were called for the work, but God said, I called him alone, talking of Abraham. Sarah’s call and ministry was overshadowed by Abraham’s call and ministry. Therefore, woman, do not tear yourself or allow men to tear you away from your husband’s ministry. Do not seek your own name or glory, if God gives you in marriage to a godly man with divine call as Abraham’s. Don’t do it. Satan would want to tear you away from your husband’s ministry for selfish reason. Resist him. Cooperate with your husband for the success of the ministry and you will receive the blessing and reward of the Lord. Two are better than one. Why do you want to tear it apart? We thank the Lord for the example in this ministry. God has helped my wife, Sist

February Sunday 10th TOPIC: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN AND SANCTIFIED TEXT: John 3:1-5 KEY VERSE: 1Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is dangerous to be destitute of biblical truth required for your eternal life. You must be born again! A person is said to be born again when he acknowledges that he is a sinner, desires to receive forgiveness of his sins from God, confesses his sins to God and requests Jesus to save and wash away his sins, promising not to return to them anymore. When he notices that he is now living a new life in Christ, loving God and the things of God and rejecting, resisting all sins and overcoming them in his life, he is truly born again! 1John 1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful a

February Saturday 9th TOPIC: HOLINESS MOVEMENT IS A HEADACHE TO THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS TEXT: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 KEY VERSE: Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Satan is aware of the primary mission of Holiness Revival Movement on earth. He is very much angry at us for the great damage with have done to his kingdom, which we are still doing. Satan is a dogged fighter; he does not give up easily. He will continue to strategize on counter-attacks in order to recover lost grounds. But we know that by the grace of God and our dogged commitment to this divine assignment, Satan will never actualize his plans over this Movement. Satan has ministers and workers he sends to join the true workers and ministers. Jesus says they are of their father the devil and the lusts of their fa

February Friday 8th TOPIC: JESUS THE SON OF GOD IS GOD HIMSELF – Part 1 TEXT: John 14:6-11 Key verse: 1John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Many stumble at what the son of God means. They wonder if God has a wife. That is human reasoning. God made man in his image; man is three persons in one - spirit, soul and body. Man may be lying down here while his spirit has gone elsewhere. Even as the spirit travels elsewhere, the soul is joined with it. They can be together or separated. Man is three persons in one but still one man. God said let us make man to resemble us; so God is three persons in one. We have one God but he exists in three separate Persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. These are the three separate persons but one God,

February Thursday 7th TOPIC: RESTITUTION IS STILL REQUIRED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT TEXT:  Acts 23:1-5 KEY VERSE: Ecclesiastes 3:15, “That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. Some pastors teach and many believe that Restitution is no longer required in the New Testament church once you have repented and confessed your sins to God. This is contrary to scripture which says in Ecclesiastes 3:15, “That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. Again the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:10, “We shall all appear before the judgment seat of God, who will judge all men without partiality and reward every man according to his or deeds in the mortal body while on earth. So, if you will be judged by your past, why would somebody say that restitution is no longer required simply because you have confessed your sin to God.

February Wednesday 6th TOPIC: PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD WITH UNDERSTANDING TEXT: PSALM 95:1-7 Key Verse: “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise” Psalm 98:4. We are to sing praises, give thanks and worship God with understanding. This makes the praises and worship of God to be meaningful and pleasant. It makes our praise, thanksgiving and worship a sacrifice with a sweet smelling savour, acceptable by God. Praising and worshiping God with understanding means you know: i. Who you praise, thank and worship. ii. Why you praise, thank and worship Him. iii. What you praise, thank and worship God for. iv. How to praise, thank and worship Him. v. Where to praise, thank and worship Him. vi. When to praise, thank and worship Him. vii. With whom to praise, thank and worship God. This is worshipping God with understanding. February Tuesday 5th TOPIC: GOD ANSWERS PRAYER TEXT: LUKE 11:5-10 Key verse: “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”.  Psalm 27:14  Every time you make a request is a good time before God and He is assuring you it is not in vain. He will answer, if you maintain the spirit of prayer. In our text, God is saying a man in need went to his neighbour for help. This man was not just his neighbour but a friend. He knocked at his door in the midnight and said: “I have a problem. I have a visitor and I do not have food to give to the visitor. Can you give me some food so I can give the visitor?” Jesus asked, “Can this friend say: ‘Do not trouble me, it is night already and my children are in bed?” I want to give you two reasons why the man would not refuse him: i) He was his friend – he would not disappoint his friend, ii) Because of his persistence in asking (importunity). Because

February Monday 4th TOPIC: CALL TO PURE AND REASONABLE SERVICE TEXT: Romans 12:1-2 KEY VERSE: Malachi 1:11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. You are called to serve God in a pure way.  God wants pure, dedicated service to be rendered unto His name. This way, you will be honouring His Great Name. How do you do it? 1. Serve with Commitment. Commitment to pure service is an appeal to those who are saved. To those who have enjoyed the grace and benevolence of God in salvation and now desire to live for Christ their Saviour in total surrender and complete love. We are pleading to you, coordinator, women leader, chapter leader, every worker, be committed to service. Let not the blood of Jesus drop in vain. 2. Serv

February Sunday 3rd TOPIC: LEARNING FROM SARAH TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 3:1-4 Key verse: “Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him” Isaiah 51:2 The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ has for long been hindered and suffered setbacks. For Satan has gotten a wisdom of frustrating this gospel by hindering wives of true ministers of God with divine call and ministry from cooperating with their husbands, giving them a different thought, reasoning and approach to the work of the ministry and as a result two are no more one. No assistance from the women anymore and in that way he has weakened the gospel. God would want us to have a good understanding of this because ministry got lost when people began to go into ministry without standard. Those who entered into ministry entered into it without this complete formation. Many are into ministry and their wives are not cooperati

February Saturday 2nd TOPIC: TRUTH IS THE CURE OF IGNORANCE TEXT: GENESIS 20:1-8 KEY VERSE: JOHN 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. In the secular world, scientists, politicians, educationists and other enlightened members of the society lament over the evil and death pangs ignorance casts upon men and women in the society. From biblical perspective, the world is in total ignorance of God’s way of salvation. This is the reason for the diverse beliefs and religions that strive along with Christianity among men. It is unfortunate also to say that the major portion of the church of Christ today is ignorant of true biblical teachings required for their holiness and eternal life. An ignorant man is like a man moving towards a fast-moving truck with his eyes closed. This is very dangerous! He could be crushed by the truck. In Law, ignorance is not an excuse. Even with God, ignorance is not an excuse. Levit
