When the word of God is richly preached and taught, hearers will have the knowledge of the word, the knowledge of the living God in His Trinity: the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Some special circumstances are the call of God for you to become a prayer warrior. Some hard circumstances or challenges in your life are special calls that God has for you to become a warrior. November Wednesday 27th QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Hair Covering By Women In The Church)            TEXT: 1 Corinthians 11: 1-16 KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 11:13 “Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?” QUESTION: Is it compulsory for a woman to always cover her hair, even while at home or walking in the street, even though you plait your hair. Maybe like me, ordinary days I always cover my hair, I cover my hair everywhere I am going to. So they are saying that it is not holiness because even air does not go through my hair and that even when I plait it I should open my hair and I should only be covering it in the church. ANSWER: A woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered, dishonoreth her head. So it was the same as shaving so if a woman will not cover head praying or prophesying let her shave it, but if it is a shame for a woman to have her hair shaven or shown. Sometimes the conflict or contention is so sharp that it results in separation or divorce. TOPIC: AVOID VAIN REPETITIONS IN PRAYERS              November Saturday 23rd TEXT: Matthew 6: 5-8 KEY VERSE: Matthew 6:7 “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.” In this passage, Jesus is telling people who do not receive answers to their prayers the reason why their prayers were not answered – they make vain repetitions. May be you are in the Church but your mind is not with God; when prayer is going on you start saying the same thing over and over again. Sometimes, you are like something that got hooked up and is just standing still in one place. You may be repeating a particular word or phrase in the name of speaking in tongues, even when the person leading the prayer has changed the prayer point several times (like a cracked CD plate that keeps repeating the last sound). TOPIC: REASONS FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS           November Saturday 16th TEXT: James 4: 1-4 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. God will hear your prayers; you have not come for vain labour or vain service. God has told us about the people that offer vain prayers in the book of James. He told us their characteristics and why they cannot receive answers. Instead of going to pray, some people rather go after carnal methods. They go into contention and strife. Imagine somebody saying, “God I want you to make me prominent in the Church. God, I want you to make me preach in one of the services or conferences; let them know that I have your power.” If you desire this, then take it to God in prayer, rather than following some carnal methods. Carnal ways of achieving this will not work as long as God is the One who chooses people to do His work. He will never choose you

TOPIC: PRISCILLA’S STEADFASTNESS TO THE GOSPEL WORK Friday November 15th TEXT: 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-19 KEY VERSE: 2 Timothy 4: 19 “Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.” Priscilla and Aquila continued to work with Paul, until the last day of his ministry work. Paul knew that his service in the gospel work was coming to an end and prepared to meet Jesus Christ in heaven. The scripture references above equally show Priscilla’s steadfastness with her husband in support of the gospel work with Paul, the Apostle to the end. Women in HOREMOW should stand steadfastly in the gospel work with their husbands to the end. In other words, women should be inspirers of their husbands in the gospel work as did Priscilla.
