No restitution to harlots. You went to herbalist and collected his charm on credit and you have not finished paying. Do you know that being ignorant of the law does not exempt you from punishment when you break it? The saying, “Ignorance is no excuse of the law” is clearly seen in the story of king Abimelech, who despite his claim of innocence and pureness of heart, was still subject to the judgment of God. King Abimelech took Abraham's wife and when confronted by God, he pleaded innocence due to his ignorance of the truth of the matter. The Lord Jesus is saying those traditions will not take you to heaven. Some of these pastors already know that they are not going to heaven and they also know that by imposing their traditions on you, you will not enter heaven either. It may appear as if you made the choice but He did and ordered your steps towards it. He said I chose you even when you were in your mother’s womb. The ministries God gives His children are in stages. As you show faithfulness in one, he takes you to the next stage. You should know that it is not by your power but the will of God. Therefore, do not seek greatness after the flesh which promotes covetousness and jealousy for other’s promotion.  Do not despise the calling of others. It is God that calls each person into different ministries, so do not disdain your little beginning.

Sanctification is a word that has two meanings. The Jesus kind of sanctification and the sanctification He prayed for all the believers in Him. Jesus said, for their sakes, I sanctified Myself. That means I consecrated Myself and I dedicated Myself to God for the purpose of making humanity sanctified. Definitely, the sanctification here that Jesus was praying for the brethren is not dedication, because they were already dedicated. They were already dedicated in the sense that they had left their houses and were following Him. In one sense, sanctification means dedication to godly use. Although our sins are forgiven when we repent and confess them to God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God still wants us to do necessary restitution because in most instances, we sinned not only against God but also against fellow human beings. What then is restitution? It involves correcting some of the wrongs we did when we were sinners in order to make peace with fellow men. Suppose you had hurt someone in the past by your wrong actions, this was a practical evil you did which will still be standing against you because you have not apologised to the person you wronged and the person is still not happy with you. May be you quarrelled with your neighbour and in the process you abused him or did so
