Rooted in the Truth and Established in the Faith

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

Topic: Rooted in the Truth and Established in the Faith October Wednesday 7th

Text: Colossians 2:6-8

Key verse: Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.

The believers that remain steadfast and make it to heaven will be so greatly rewarded because the Christian life is a fierce battle that only those who mean business can overcome. When a sinner repents and receives Jesus, there are battles to fight and overcome in order to grow in Him and remain in the faith to the end because many things come as obstacles on the way of the convert. There are pressures to cease from the decision you have made and to stop the practice of the Christian life. Indeed, many things come to persuade or force you out of the way of Christ, but the Lord desires that you will be rooted in the truth and established in the faith. The grace of God and the help of God over my life has made it that this gospel has been presented and is being presented to you without ambiguity. Everything required for eternal life that you need to know to be saved from sin and to live a life pleasing to God, and to overcome Satan and be prepared for the rapture has been made plain to you. There is no ambiguity in this matter. It comes by the grace of God as the Lord puts it in Paul, He has raised another Paul in our dispensation.

Be rooted in the truth. This truth is already known to you. What you need is to get rooted in it. When a tree is growing, at first you can easily pull it out when it is tender, but as it continues to grow and its roots begin to sink down, you can still pull it out but it will take more effort. When it has fully grown, you cannot pull it out anymore. Come to the point in your Christian faith and convictions that you cannot be pulled out by the devil. Let your understanding of this truth be so deep and firm that nobody will toss you to and fro. The reason why many people do not stand in their Christian life is because they have not taken time to study. Study the scriptures to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth. Go and verify this truth about holiness and heaven. Make personal efforts through reading and wise consultations to verify this truth so that nobody would come tomorrow and say another thing that will carry you away. Be like the Berean Christians that would go back to confirm the word. Go to the source and get it established in you. In the past, you had been buying from retailers; that is why you bought at higher price. Now, you know where they manufacture the goods, go and get it directly from the source; the price will be lower and you can achieve more. Get connected with God and be convinced of this truth yourself. Take it to God in prayer and pray them into your heart. Pray them in so they can take root in your heart.

Thought for the day: Establish yourself in the truth for the salvation of your soul.

Song for the day: I must dig a little deeper, Jesus love must be sweeter...

Bible reading for the day:

Isaiah 37-38 philippians 3

For taking your time to study remain blessed. August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
