QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES (Hair Covering By Women In The Church)
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 11: 1-16
KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 11:13 “Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?”
QUESTION: Is it compulsory for a woman to always cover her hair, even while at home or walking in the street, even though you plait your hair. Maybe like me, ordinary days I always cover my hair, I cover my hair everywhere I am going to. So they are saying that it is not holiness because even air does not go through my hair and that even when I plait it I should open my hair and I should only be covering it in the church.
ANSWER: A woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered, dishonoreth her head. So it was the same as shaving so if a woman will not cover head praying or prophesying let her shave it, but if it is a shame for a woman to have her hair shaven or shown. The emphasis here is on worship, prayer is in the church service. God says, My house shall be called the house of prayer. So when you are praying have something to cover your hair as a woman as you are covered now. Those people who do not cover their head are disobedient to the word of God and they are not going to heaven because the disobedient do not go to heaven. So you cover your head when you are in worship, you cover your head when you are praying in church, at home or anywhere you are praying or prophesying.
But aside from this you have liberty to do what you want to do, either to cover your head or to leave it open because there is no rule of God guiding that. It is what you choose to do. You cannot cover it all the time, you are free to leave it open in the street in the market, at your school but as long as you dress neatly and decently in righteousness and holiness. You are free to leave it because the Bible says the long hair is given to the woman for a covering, you need not always cover with a vale while not in prayer, since as you are going about your hair is a covering for you. You have long hair that covers your head so you are free to leave it open in your normal business. But what if you choose to still cover it? It is your choice. The law of God does not condemn you for covering it. No it does not condemn you but it has only treated you in prayer and in the house of God in prophesying and in prayer but for your normal life, the choice is yours.  Do you want to have it covered all the time choose. In fact when you are sleeping do you want to have I covered? But I think the medical people should advice you too. Whether you are covering or not covering it is not a transgression of God outside the church or outside prayer.
Thought for the day: While not praying or prophesying you have liberty either to cover your head or to leave it open

For taking your time to study remain blessed. August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
