UNITY AMONG BRETHREN

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: UNITY AMONG BRETHREN                August Wednesday 26th

TEXT: Philippians 2:1-5

KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

In Christ we enjoy love. We are comforted by the love of brethren. It heals our fears and discouragement. We enjoy fellowship together. To keep this love going, practice Christian unity. Don't be an unnecessary critic but be in one mind with the brethren. A man came to a brother after service and gave him N500 for his transport and the brother was jubilating. But your response was, “Why are you jubilating when he should have done more than that.” A message was preached and everybody was rejoicing except you. To practice God's kind of love we must see things the same way. Even as a body like HOREMOW, if we want to enjoy God let us do things in agreement. Why bring confusion?

We were in Cameroon and while I was answering a question the Lord was speaking to my wife: “There is a silent pollution Satan has brought among the leaders and members. There are some among you that choose what to take and what not to take. This spirit is growing among leaders. If not handled well now it will lead to a split in the Movement. People who think they are spiritual are opposing. If caution is not taken, Satan will use them to scatter things.” If God raised up apostle Paul and all his writings were incorporated in scripture for edification of the church, can the Lord not raise another man in this generation of confusion?

God said in that revelation: “Pastor Kumuyi in his own wisdom forbade his members from watching or owning a television set and all his leaders in Deeper Life Bible Church accepted until I told him it was not My wisdom. But the leaders’ unity kept the church intact.” If you don't have true testimony, don't say it because those who know the truth will not be with you. Let nothing be done through strive or vain glory. Don't carry leadership on your shoulder. Avoid selfishness.

Respect others. Think of their welfare. Think of their blessing. Honour your leaders whether younger or less educated. Give honour to ministers of God, your coordinators, Chapter and Unit leaders. God expects that you will not despise His ministers. Michal despised David and died a barren woman. You too as a leader, make yourself approachable so that people will be free to speak to you. Honour your members. Learn to respect people. Luke wrote to Theophilus and referred to him as "most excellent."

Thought for the day: Promote love and unity among brethren.

Song for the day: Right now in HOREMOW, the Spirit is moving….there’s a mighty revelation…..

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 128-131; 1 Corinthians 7:25-40

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
