DON’T KEEP OTHER PEOPLE’S VINEYARD AND NEGLECT YOUR OWN

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: DON’T KEEP OTHER PEOPLE’S VINEYARD AND NEGLECT YOUR OWN August Tuesday 11th

TEXT: Psalm 42:1-2

KEY VERSE: Song of Solomon 1:6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me:  my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

Busy, busy, busy woman! Busy, busy, busy man! If you read today’s key verse, this busy woman was not black before. She was fair complexioned, but now she says, “I have become black;” and shame has come upon her. That is why she said, “Oh no, don’t look upon me.” She is hiding herself now. But what brought this blackness to her? She said she had been busy under the sun, working. She had been busy doing this work and doing that work. “I have been busy in the kitchen. I have been busy in the house. I have been busy in the market. I have been busy working up and down. But what kept you busy?” Human beings kept her busy. Her mother’s children kept her busy. She was busy serving others. Probably you too have been busy serving others in the church, in the chapter meeting or in Holiness Revival Movement. Good as it is to serve others, see what she revealed: “They made me keeper of the vineyards.” Not one vineyard but several vineyards; going up and down to please people. And she said, “My own vineyard, have I not kept.” What a pity!

Now she is black because the sun has burnt her. She was busy going up and down caring for other people’s vineyard but neglected her own. Why? You have a soul and you have a spirit. Now you are a pastor, you have a spirit that cries because he is hungry. Your soul and spirit are crying for attention.  Listen to their voice and give them attention. In today’s reading text, we see the cry of your soul, but you are busy going up and down. You have a soul; a soul that dies because of sin, for the soul that sinneth it shall die. That soul that you are starving, it shall die! That soul that you are not feeding is your own vineyard. Your soul is crying for attention, yet you are busy ministering to other souls. In fact, the people are testifying to your service. They are no more hungry. They are testifying but your own soul is neglected. There are laws in this life. God will not change the law for you, except in His perfect wisdom and it is required for His glory, which does not happen often. There are formulas in life. Now that you didn’t keep your vineyard, what has happened to it?

Thought for the day: Your life is not less important than those you are ministering to. Take care of it.

Song for the day: Take time to be holy….

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 90-92; Romans 11:1-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
PRACTICE OF PRAYER AND FASTING.  WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 TEXT: ISAIAH 58:1-8                                                                                                        Key verse: “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”  Luke 2:37. The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
