BE LIKE-MINDED WITH CHRIST

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: BE LIKE-MINDED WITH CHRIST August Friday 28th

TEXT: Colossians 1:9-10

KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

My prayer for you is that you will be able to judge what is right and easily perceive the glory of God around and you. That you will have spiritual understanding and that you will understand things in the way of God. You will see things as God sees them, whether good or evil things. Job told his wife, “Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all these, Job did not sin because he had spiritual understanding. He understood in the evil things happening to him that, “He knoweth the way that I take, after he has tried me he shall bring me forth as gold.”

This is great spiritual understanding. In this way, he was not offended against God. He was not also offended against man. Even when his wife told him, “curse God and die” he didn’t mix things up because he understood the wife in a spiritual way saying, “Oh, some foolish women who don’t have the wisdom of God speak like this.” Don’t we have bitter things on earth, don’t we eat bitter leaf? Does it kill us? With this spiritual understanding Job was excellent in his life. That was why God boasted about him.

When king David was fleeing Jerusalem after his son Absalom conspired against him, Shimei of the household of Saul accosted him on the way, cursing and casting stones at him. David’s bodyguard Abishai, wanted to cut off his head but David restrained him. David said, “It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.” It takes a man with the mind of God to exercise such restraint under great provocation and anticipate that it will turn out for his own good in the future.

You too need to come to this level so that you will begin to see things in a spiritual way. If you see it so, then you will actually agree that God doesn’t make mistake. You will read the handwriting of God and praise him. Even when people curse or abuse you, you will be seeing good in it. That is a spiritual man with the mind of Christ.

Thought for the day: To the spiritual man, every situation is under control.

Song for the day: He is able, abundantly able, to deliver……

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 136-138; 1 Corinthians 9

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
