COME UP TO MATURITY AND STOP SEEKING HUMAN SYMPATHY UNNECESSARILY

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: COME UP TO MATURITY AND STOP SEEKING HUMAN SYMPATHY UNNECESSARILY August Monday 24th

TEXT: Acts 21:10-14

KEY VERSE: Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Luke 23:26-28 26  And as they led Him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.  27  And there followed Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him.  28  But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

In this text, they were leading innocent, mighty and powerful Jesus to Golgotha for crucifixion and His sympathizers were following and crying. How did Jesus respond? Would Jesus be looking for human sympathy when He knew clearly that this was the way His Father had planned it for Him? He knew clearly that He came into the world for this very purpose and that the Son of man had to give His life as a ransom for many.

He knew clearly that He must do the will of His Father no matter what He had to pass through. Would He then be seeking human sympathy? Such sympathy would have weakened Him by suggesting that there were alternatives to doing the will of His Father? Of what value was such human sympathy to Him?

Come up to maturity because there are sufferings in life. There are adverse things God allows in the training of His people because of the assignment He has for them. Otherwise, you will join in criticizing the wicked people that brought up this against Jesus without full understanding. Yes, they are wicked hands indeed who should be criticized but God allowed them.

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.

If we should pursue them with sticks to kill them, we will be offending God. So, have this balanced understanding. Always be on the side of God on any matter. Ask Him where he stands and be on the Lord’s side. When Moses came back from the mountain he asked who was on the Lord’s side? Look for that side. Be on the Lord’s side in every matter: In the church, in the family, in the society, in the government. Everywhere be on the Lord’s side. Amen!

Thought for the day: Be on the Lord’s side always.

Song for the day: My God is able, He’s able, I know He  is able……

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 120-123; 1 Corinthians 6

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
PRACTICE OF PRAYER AND FASTING.  WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 TEXT: ISAIAH 58:1-8                                                                                                        Key verse: “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day”  Luke 2:37. The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
