ONLY THE SPIRITUAL MAN CAN UNDERSTAND SPIRITUAL THINGS

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: ONLY THE SPIRITUAL MAN CAN UNDERSTAND SPIRITUAL THINGS August Wednesday 12th

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 2:10-13

KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You need to be in the spirit to understand the things of God. Even now that we are saying Jesus Christ will soon come, it takes a spiritual man to understand this language of the Spirit. Even as unfolding events in the world show clearly that the world is rounding off, it takes a spiritual man to understand this truth. The natural man cannot just understand. Tell a natural man, “Jesus is coming soon,” it will sound to him like you are speaking in a foreign language. He would say, “What are you talking about? All these years they have been saying Jesus is coming. Forget about that one!” That is the natural man for you. If it were a spiritual man, he will just be rejoicing, saying, “God you have brought me to the kind of place I have been longing for (HOREMOW). This is where the psalmist says, “I have been longing to appear before God in Jerusalem. My heart has been seeking it. I have been crying, ‘When will I appear before the Lord?’ When they say let us go to Jerusalem it is a great joy unto me.” That is a spiritual man. He understands the meaning of Jerusalem. He appreciates the presence of God that he would enjoy in Jerusalem.

But the natural man will say, “Is this the kind of place you brought me for a conference? There isn’t enough food to eat. Where will I sleep? Why am I here? How long are we going to be here? I don’t think I can stay for 3-4 days.” That is a natural man for you. He cannot perceive the presence of God. All that matters to him is food and comfort. Whatever we are saying or doing here, whatever inspired messages are coming out here, he cannot understand, because he is not born again. He is not a spiritual man. The Lord seeks those that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. To you that feel inconvenient or uncomfortable by occasional inadequacies, I am saying God wants you to worship Him in spirit and to think less about the flesh. God wants you to receive and accept the word of God which is the food of life. God wants you to allow the Holy Spirit to have full access into your life so that you too can be brought to the level of refined and perfect understanding of spiritual matters.

Thought for the day: Understanding comes by the Spirit of God.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
