PHYSICIAN, HEAL THYSELF!

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: PHYSICIAN, HEAL THYSELF!           August Thursday 27th

TEXT: Romans 2:17-24

KEY VERSE: Luke 6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

You have the knowledge, you know the doctrine, you know the Bible, you know the verses and the interpretations. Solomon said, “My wisdom still remained with me.” Although I backslid, my wisdom still remained with me. You still have this knowledge. In fact, you still know how to go and cast out devils.  You know the language to speak. You know how to become serious when the matter involves devils. You also know how to counsel others. But why are you doing the things that you preach against? It is because you are not paying attention to your spiritual health. Thou that teachest others, teachest not thyself? Your problem is application. Those people you are teaching don’t know your limitation, but you know. You teach them the truth of scripture but you are not applying those things to your life. You should sit down and say, “I know these things and I should apply them to my life?” The prodigal son came to his senses and went back home. He knew the road back home. All he needed to do was to rise up and return through the road. You know the road but you are not ready to follow it. This is bad. You are not doing good to yourself at all.

Sister, you too are not doing good to yourself. How did you allow the kitchen to take over your life? Martha! Let there be fasting in that house for three days so that you can go to heaven. If the Lord asks us to fast for three days so that our mother will go to heaven, will we not fast? Who told you that life must be about food? If you ask God for wisdom, He will give you. If you can negotiate well with your family, you will create time for yourself to pray and seek the Lord. But how did you come to this point that you now fight, speak foul language and utter corrupt words? Now, your anger is like that of a lioness. How did you come to that point? It is because you neglected yourself. You were busy satisfying other people but you neglected your own life. Folly has now come to you, that even your service is now an abomination in the sight of God.

Thought for the day: Minister to your soul first before preaching to others.

Song for the day: Jesus lead me near the cross….

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 132-135; 1 Corinthians 8

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
