TOPIC: IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHIRST, YOU DON’T BELONG TO HIM August Wednesday 5th
TEXT: Romans 8:14-16
KEY VERSE: Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 

If any has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. The spiritual man, therefore, is the man that is born again. The spiritual woman is the woman that is born again. Such a person is indwelt by the Spirit of Christ. The Spirit of Christ that gives you the new birth lives in you to keep you in righteousness, and manifests in you the fruit of the Spirit, and preserves your life in righteousness, so that you don’t do those evil things anymore. You cannot go back to immorality, or drunkenness, or stealing, or lying because He has saved you. He changed you, and He remains in you. 

1 John 3:6-9
6  Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.  9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 

The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in a spiritual man enlightens him and illuminates the word of God in his heart, which enables him to see and understand spiritual things perfectly. He is able to understand the things of God because God is spiritual.  1Corinthians 2:12-15  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 

Thought for the day: If you will walk with God you must understand him in a spiritual way.
