GOD’S COUNSEL TO THE CHURCH IN OUR GENERATION

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

TOPIC: GOD’S COUNSEL TO THE CHURCH IN OUR GENERATION           August Friday 14th

TEXT: Proverbs 2:1-9

KEY VERSE: Proverbs 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Jesus is not present in most churches today even though they boast of large membership and mega cathedrals. Jesus is outside most of them. God’s counsel to them is, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see” (Revelation 3:18). Get spiritual riches and glory. Value this above material wealth. He is counseling you to turn to God: “I counsel thee buy of me gold.” This is the pure word of God. Teach sound doctrine. Teach born again experience; teach righteousness; teach holiness; teach sanctification; teach restitution; teach holiness in Christian dressing. Let the people remove their ear rings. Let the women remove their trousers. Let them remove all those wedding rings. They are defilements and filthiness in the sight of God. I counsel you buy of me the true doctrine of life. That is the word of God! Remove all the perming and hair attachments.

All those people who marry two or more wives, or divorce and remarry, let them get those things corrected. Let them go and do their restitution. “I counsel you to buy of Me the true word.” This is what you should go and tell your churches, otherwise Jesus will continue to stand outside that congregation; He will not be inside with you. As you go into your church, you have left Him outside. He is not in the church He founded, the church He purchased with His blood. Those people you see there are not part of His church, but He is showing them mercy. Let them correct their ways so that He could come in. The mercy He is showing is for individuals.  He is calling individuals, “Hear Me, your people are lost, your congregation is lost, your denomination is lost because they do not have the true word. They do not preach the true word. They do not administer the true word, but you should hear and follow Me because salvation is personal.” This means for God to reckon with these churches and for them to be true gospel ministries, they must get the true knowledge of the word of God and submit to sound teaching of the word.

Thought for the day: If you live by divine counsel, it will be of great profit to your soul.

Song for the day: God has something to say, God has something to say, listen…….

Bible reading for the day: Psalm 99-102; Romans 13

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
