HOLINESS REVIVAL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE HOREMOW
DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR.
DATE: TUESDAY AUGUST 25, 2026.
TOPIC: THE LIFESTYLE OF A CHRISTIAN WORKER (PART 2)
TEXT: COLOSSIANS 3:22-25
22. Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
KEY VERSE: LUKE 1: 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless
Jesus called some individuals to be with Him so that He could disciple them before sending them out to work for Him (Mark 3: 13-19). Being with Jesus prepares one to be like Jesus; But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).
A Christian worker should be like Jesus. How did Jesus live His life when He was on the earth? In part one, we saw that He lived pleasing the Father. Let’s identify more of Jesus’ way of life.
2. He was meek and lowly. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Mathew 11: 29). Jesus was totally free from pride and haughtiness. It is pride that gives birth to competition and contention among Christ’s servants; Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
3. He was wise and perfect in behaviour. Though Jesus was made to be sin for us, He knew no sin (2 Corinthians 5: 21). The wisdom of Jesus is from above and it is pure, clean and perfect. Congratulations to a Christian worker or leader who embraces these two great qualities. Wisdom will help you to render blameless and rewardable services while perfection will guarantee your entry into heaven.
4. Jesus was zealous for and dedicated to gospel work. And He said unto them, How is it that ye sought Me? Wist ye not that I must be about My Father’s business? Luke 2:49. Jesus was so obsessed by the promotion of the Father’s kingdom that He tarried in Jerusalem after the feast of Passover. He was found in the temple after three days search. What a life worthy of emulation by all Christian workers. With zeal and dedication, the revival of holiness will be done before Christ returns.
