TOPIC: OVERCOMING INFESTATION OF EVIL SPIRITS
TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 3: 1-7
Key verse: “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8: 9

There are various ways that people are easily infested by evil spirits:

Sinful life: This will attract the invasion and control of evil spirits when a youth’s life does not please God or promote His purpose. 1 John 5:18 “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” John 14:30 “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
Corruption of Denominational Churches: Youths are most vulnerable to evil spirit’s infestation because: they are easily attracted to denominational churches that allow people to come and go the way they are, thereby exposing them to false teachings, which make them comfortable in their crazy and ungodly fashions, ungodly hairdo, barbing styles and use of ornaments Youths are brought into bondage through false teachings.
Bad Companry: Evil spirits carefully study each person from birth to determine how the inescapable consequences of sin can be used to ruin a person. I understand that demons or evil spirits are masters at gradualism. They watch to see which temptations are most effective, which natural traits of character are dominant, which opportunities where entrapment is possible, and they especially watch to see whom each person or youth will choose for friends. One of their best tools for getting young people to make rash decisions is through friendship with bad people. The evil spirits know, “Bad company corrupts good character”

In order to overcome:
(1) Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth
(2) Flee from sin. Joseph refused to consent to the temptation by Potiphar’s wife
(3) Stay away from worldly friends “The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.”
(4) Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Apostle Paul enjoined Timothy to be an example of the believers as a youth.
(5) Follow after righteousness and holiness. It is not enough to be born again as a youth but rather you should thirst after righteousness and holiness, and live it as a life style
(6) Give heed to the word of God.

Thought for the day: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Song for the day: I’m not moved by what I see, halleluiah, I’m only move by the word of God...
Bible reading for the day:
Genesis 44-45; Matthew 14:1-21

For taking your time to study remain blessed. August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
