TOPIC: GO BACK TO ORIGINAL CHRISTIANITY July Saturday 4th
TEXT: Revelation 3:19-22
KEY VERSE: Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 

As One that loves His own, the Lord is exhorting backslidden Christians to repent. The condition of many is like the Laodicean church who had left the Lord or rather, whom the Lord had left and was standing outside their lives. They locked Jesus outside their lives. What they are practicing is not the original Christianity. When you enter into any Laodicean church for worship, you must have left Jesus outside the door because He is not inside the church. The people you are going to meet inside are men that will manipulate you, and play games on you. Jesus who owns the church has been left outside but you went inside to mix up with the crowd to live as you please. 

You have been doing this for many years; hence there is no meaning in your Christianity. You have been in church for forty years and have even become one of the leaders but your Christian life is not meaningful because Jesus is not in it.  Now He is telling you, “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hears My voice.” The call of Jesus, the voice of Jesus, the invitation of Jesus is to individuals in the Laodicean church. It is not for everybody because as for that church, it will not change. As for the congregation, they will not all change. But individuals who have ears to hear, let them hear.  

Many have bound themselves, hence they will never hear. So, if you are interested and have heard the truth even from outside your denomination, analyzing and presenting to you the truth about your church, then respond positively.  Sometimes, the wife hears but the husband does not or the husband hears but the wife does not. Sometimes, the parents hear but the children do not and sometimes the children hear but the parents don’t. But whoever hears, responds one way or the other because salvation is a personal decision. You cannot say my pastor didn’t allow me; rather, you didn’t allow yourself. You cannot say my husband didn’t allow me. No! You didn’t allow yourself. You cannot say my wife blocked me. No! You blocked yourself. Who has that power to block your Creator? It is because you have not regarded your Creator. Let an individual that has an ear hear the truth, let him hear the call of God, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to him or her.
